Dear Readers,

Valentine's Day is upon us and if you have a significant other, it's time that we start shelling out the cash for chocolates, flowers, lavish dinners, trips or whatever tickles you and your partner's fancy. If you don't, then I still encourage you to take the time to share the love with someone important in your life. Call me a naïve or hopeless, but I certainly think that this world could use a little more love.

As I was trying to come up with ideas for what text to put on the cover of the magazine, I came across an interesting quote: “The beauty that attracts is rarely the beauty that makes one fall in love.” I thought I would share this because for many who are still looking for love, the truth is that a lot of times, people were just looking in the wrong places or for the wrong things. I admit that I certainly was.

Now, I am not saying that you should dump your gorgeous boyfriends or fall in love with hideous men; however, in a community that places so much emphasis on how someone looks, try to look past that and maybe you just might have a better chance of finding true love. I did and I found someone that I am not only attracted to physically but also for what is in his heart and his mind.

Finally, Winter Party is right around the corner! The last week of February marks the beginning of the festivities and it's time we don our bathing suits and have a great time. There's no better way to have fun and give back to the local community in the spring. Be sure to check out our feature on Winter Party for more information. See you at the events and on the sand!
